Bright and early...no wait, dark and early. It is 5:49 a.m. as I begin this blog. Terry left but his face was really green. We went out and ate for Justin's birthday last night and Justin, Terry and Morgan all ate VEAL CHOPS. Personally I do not eat much beef. Especially when I do not know where it came from. I won't eat baby Cow at all. An occasional hamburger is okay and when there is steak, I eat about six bites but that is it. SOOO, my man did not have a restful night and I hope he does better today. I did not have to fix breakfast or pack his lunch.

Today Mark Bryant is flying in for my show tonight at the Dutch Art Gallery. I think it is meet the artist from six to nine. He wants to see a collection of work and watch me paint for a day. I like gallery owners that take an interest in your work and your life. He is just getting his gallery up and going in Central Nevada. The website is up but not anywhere near developed or ready.

I will be working mainly on commission pieces this weekend and some pieces for The Red Tree Gallery in Atascadero, CA. Wendy has been wanting a music piece and I have not had time to do the painting. I have all the music layered on and it is ready, but I have not done one yet!

This is the ad Diane Whitehead and I have in the newest edition of Western Art Collector. It is a fabulous new magazine. This is my third month to run a full page ad, so if you have one of my paintings, you might want to pick up an issue. Diane and I are doing a show in Marble Falls, TX in October.

Have you faced disappointments in your life? Has someone you know well let you down? I know my favorite phrase is, "if every one would just do their job". To me the lack of responsibility in the younger generation is predictable as it has been for centuries. I basically decided God thinks that with every single one of us. Do you think we fall short of His wishes for us? With our need to control, we seem to be going in an opposite direction most of the time. So yeah, I believe we disappoint Him daily by not only our actions but our lack of actions. If you were in a new relationship you would invest valuable time and thought into courting that person or developing that relationship. God deserves this from us daily. Problem is we have so much going on there is not much time left for Him.

What can you do for God today? Focus on Him today as much as you can. You will see things in a new light and you will feel a calm surrounding you.

Grace,
Laurie

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
