Contemporary Art for the Home

It's Friday. YEAH! I posted the above painting to show my work in acrylics. I had not done my pulls in acrylic before so this is the FIRST. Sometimes we are afraid or hesitant to step out try something new, so I did. I need to explore acrylics more.

I was surprised by a phone call this week from a man named Rick Armstrong. My thanks to Diane for connecting us. Rick has a new gallery opening in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Diane is represented there as are some additional awesome artists. Rick had goggled my name and the first words from his mouth were, "You certainly have a web presence." He has invited me to be apart of the new gallery and I am sending work out on Monday. Here is the new website they are working on. Rare Gallery
There are some interesting pieces and fascinating approaches. It is a gallery with great appeal.

Last night I went to a neighbor's home where all the ladies from the circle I live on gathered for food and sharing. It is always such a wonderful time. I know you have these occasions. As I left I said to Rachel, my across the street neighborhood, let's just stay 45 min or so... and we got there and stayed three hours! When you sit and share joys and concerns and you hear what is happening in the lives of others you are so aware your "stuff" is nothing compared to someone else. One woman has asked for prayers for two of her three sons. One has been in kidney failure and the other is donating a kidney. The recipient goes back to work almost immediately, but the donor will be off work 6 weeks. Neither son has accumulated enough time to take vacation or medical off, so what do you do when you need to save your brothers life? (I do hope to post a website where they are accepting donations at a later posting.) Another prayer request for newly diagnosis cancer. My problems are nothing in comparison. Standing in prayer with others for healing and guidance is powerful. Take today to pray for others you know or even folks you do not know. Remember to pray for our troops and their families.

I HAVE the website for the brothers doing the kidney transplant, make a small donation if you can, these are the grown sons of my back door neighbor. BROTHERS

Grace,
Laurie

“The king said to the man of God, ‘Entreat now the favor of the Lord your God, and pray for me, so that my hand may be restored to me.’ So the man of God entreated the Lord; and the king’s hand was restored to him.”—1 Kings 13:6

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
