This is the day that the Lord hath made... Our lives have encounter more losses and challenges the past two weeks. Things I never suspected we would face or endure. It is only through the Father we have walked these days.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."

JAMES 1:2-3 (NIV)

We all face these times or will face these times.  Never had I faced a death of someone young and dear to me. At first I could barely make it minute to minute  trying to remember to breathe for the first four to six hours... and slowly I found that time stretching to 15 min to 15 min... and through the week, the sadness would hit and I would just break down and cry uncontrollably for five min and then regain my peace. I woke every morning at 2:30 in the midst of a dream of this special dear one.

Questions surfaced but the one I did not question was God. He took this person home because they were made perfect to Him. They touched lives and bloomed with His love. He was ready for them...   It seemed like it did not matter those left behind, but truly it mattered even more to our Father.

Here is why.... he wants us to realize every challenge we face in life... every difficult trial, every situation that occurs, he has given us this trial to test our faith... our faith produces perseverance. Our faith brings us to Him and teaches us He is the light and the way.

"Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."  John 14:6

We are drawn closer to God through the trials we face and endure in life. Trusting in what He has put upon us, we must learn to cling to Him and trust His plan.  Let me tell you it is hard to let go and let God. Our current situation left us no choice with the death of a loved one unexpected as it seems to take the sun from the sky, and the night sky void of the stars. We are blinded by our pain...until we accept the gift He has given us with their lives apart of ours for a short time...and now we have learned to draw even closer to Him.

Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
