First Iris 2024
 by Laurie Pace

Looking out my bedroom window is a beautiful bed of Iris. They only peek out and bloom March, April and early May. My peonies are blooming too. These flowers are my vision when things begin to fail around me, or evil seems to arise.

In your life now and before, there are likely things you did not like that you had to deal with no matter what.  Over the years you learn resilience from these times and often that came at a price of knocking your head a few times, the hard way.

Today we all have to learn to endure in faith like NEVER BEFORE. What the enemy meant for evil, God can turn it around for our own good. We must trust in the Lord.

Romans 8:28 ..."Or that all things work together for good to those who love God, who; or that in all things God works together with those who love him to bring about what is good for those who have been called to his purpose"

Pray for my family right now. We have need for your prayers and your love. The past four months following my mother's death has brought challenges I never thought I would experience in my lifetime. There are nights we sleep well, and there are nights we are up praying and pacing the floor. Terry and I are walking in our faith and in His promises to us. At times I am sobbing but praising Him, and thanking Him for His mercy and forgiveness and for His light to find our way.

"But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them." Genesis 50:19-21

Lord I pray this night for your grace and strength to fill us all with what we need to battle this. Be with all of those that read these words, know that we pray for you who are in need at this time as well. We are not afraid. The Lord walks with us and before us.

So may all your enemies perish, LORD! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had peace forty years." Judges 5:31

Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
