Yesterday I celebrated my birthday.  It always seems strange as my Dad's birthday here on earth was today. I have only celebrated alone for 11 years and I miss my dad!

SHARING THE JOY

There was a reading I studied on Sunday morning early when I woke up yesterday. Messages for the Morning Watch- Studies in Genesis  "Is there anything too hard of Jehovah?" Gen 19:14   Next was the challenge of the day... paraphrased: God wants you to think of the deepest, highest, worthiest desire and longing of your heart, something which perhaps was your desire for yourself or for someone near and dear to you, that has gone unfulfilled over the years and you basically feel it is unfilled... a lost desire.  This lost desire which might have been obviously cannot be and so you have lost hope of having it fulfilled in this life. "

That missing longing or desire, if it is in line with what you know would be His expressed will (as a son to Abraham and Sarah was), God intends to do for us, even if we feel it is total impossible and you actually laugh at the absurdity of anyone's thinking it could happen now.  In truth, that thing God intends to do for us.... will happen if we will let Him do it. Believe in Him and He will go forward to do what we think is the impossible or improbable for us.  Abraham and Sarah would have BLOCKED God's plan if they continued to disbelieve... I was blocking God doing this in my life. I had given up over the past 11 years...until I read the words this morning...When I read what has not come to be on something that was very important to me... why was I holding on to praying that it would happen?  I felt I would not have the answer until I took that journey home to the Father.

It is when we do not believe (and not just on Sundays) every day that Jehovah can do anything that you have set your desire on it in full faith.  I have belief and a strong relationship,  but never have assumed I could do anything to make my heart need to come full circle, but yesterday when I read all of this paraphrased above, I cannot reject God's plan as it has played out... accepting what is happening now and giving Him the power to do this for me.  I trusted, cried and reminded Him of the hurt and "that something" missing in my life. Something I had counted on and bloomed with all my life until my Dad died in 2012. He died and the other part of my life died with him.

Hoping you have stayed with this testimony this morning... because the impossible happened Sunday. I may never see it happen again, but to experience this on Sunday made my Birthday complete. Never in a million days, months or years did I ever hope... and perhaps my 'disbelief' and giving up kept it at bay until the moment was right for God. He knows what is needed in your life and in my life.

Each day stay connected with God, reaffirm your total faith in Him.  If you have something you have hoped for, for yourself or someone else, continue to put it up for Him to resolve... The peace I have right now reinforces my life and my heart and deepens my commitment to Him. He heard me but my heart was not ready for Him to answer my need.

This was inspired by the MESSAGES for the MORNING WATCH and I received with Streams of the Desert on the app.  I highly recommend it daily. I like it on my ipad the most, but it is on the phone too. You have a verse, a morning prayer and the reading.

Mixed Media Collage Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Justus Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Horse Collage Fall 2013  12 x 18 inches Mixed Media on Canvas.  This was an intentional paint to imitate one of the 100 ponies I did in 2012. That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Website   Thinking ahead to the Thanksgiving celebration next week, I remembered back to those previous dinners that I cooked, served, ate quickly, and cleaned up.  This is how I felt.  It is probably strange...even for me but I had the best fun sketching it out and painting it. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...

My life has the tendency to fall apart when I'm awake, you know?” Ernest Hemingway  I really enjoyed painting this scene. It was restful to me as the artist  and loved by our friends.  Sunday is the day of rest. I smiled when I found this in archives and thought it perfect for this day.  If you live in Texas you know that we still have 'rules' about not selling liquor before noon.  If you live in Texas and are in your late thirties and up, you might even remember Blue Laws.   Stores were simply NOT open...
