"Surrender your heart to God, turn to Him in prayer, and give up your sins—even those you do in secret. Then you won’t be ashamed; you will be confident and fearless. Your troubles will go away like water beneath a bridge, and your darkest night will be brighter than noon. You will rest safe and secure, filled with hope and emptied of worry."   Job 11:13-18 (CEV).

What do you read above are
Three commands from God:
1. Surrender your heart to God
2.Turn to Him in Prayer.
3. Give up your sins even those you do in secret.

Then in return you will get 8 promises from God!
1. You won't be ashamed
2. You will be confident
3. You will be fearless
4. Your troubles will go away like water under a bridge.
5. Your darkest night of trouble will be brighter than noon.
6. You will rest and get a good night's sleep.
7. You will be filled with hope
8. You will be emptied of worry.

Give it a try... It worked for me. Just keep yourself out of the way and allow God to guide you.

Do you wonder if you can get to the point that you can surrender it all to God? There is much going on in our world, in our country, and our people.  Conflict, war, aggression, hatred, financial issues, and so much more. How can you know God is with you? How does this work? I can testify to you, it works.

Write down your personal morning request from Him in a tablet or a spiral notebook.... and then read it out loud and say it daily.  I am reminded in a recent verse I studied from  1 John 4:18, “Where God’s love is, there is no fear, because God’s perfect love drives out fear” (NCV).  Are you ready to live without fear?

You could start with "Good morning God, I want you to lead me through this day. I want to stay focused on your touch in my life and allow you to lead me. Remind me when I need reminding, that I am surrendering all to you. You have complete control Lord, I am letting it all go to you. You control my mind and my emotions.  Lord, fill me with your love and peace. Remind me to let go of my words that sound out before I realize what I am saying. Let me extend 'grace' to those around me and keep me from opening my mouth with negativity or judgement.

Think about it... what would you say?  Write it out tonight and tomorrow morning, sit up in bed and say it out loud as you read it. I will only take a few weeks and it will feel like it is part of you... and you actually will get brave and change up the words and feel more confident in what you are praying and asking of Him. Start with something comfortable for you...it works!

Mixed Media Collage Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Justus Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Horse Collage Fall 2013  12 x 18 inches Mixed Media on Canvas.  This was an intentional paint to imitate one of the 100 ponies I did in 2012. That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Website   Thinking ahead to the Thanksgiving celebration next week, I remembered back to those previous dinners that I cooked, served, ate quickly, and cleaned up.  This is how I felt.  It is probably strange...even for me but I had the best fun sketching it out and painting it. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...

Sleeping Cowboy . Ernest Hemingway . Sunday, a day of rest . Western Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

My life has the tendency to fall apart when I'm awake, you know?” Ernest Hemingway  I really enjoyed painting this scene. It was restful to me as the artist  and loved by our friends.  Sunday is the day of rest. I smiled when I found this in archives and thought it perfect for this day.  If you live in Texas you know that we still have 'rules' about not selling liquor before noon.  If you live in Texas and are in your late thirties and up, you might even remember Blue Laws.   Stores were simply NOT open...
