“After sleeping through a hundred million centuries we have finally opened our eyes on a sumptuous planet, sparkling with color, bountiful with life. Within decades we must close our eyes again. Isn’t it a noble, an enlightened way of spending our brief time in the sun, to work at understanding the universe and how we have come to wake up in it? This is how I answer when I am asked—as I am surprisingly often—why I bother to get up in the mornings.”― Richard Dawkins

I write of color tonight as the world around us is filled with color...both silent color and high bright noisy color. Reading the quote I found that I am in agreement on finding the beauty all throughout the day and night.  The painting above has the high intensity colors contrasting beautifully the green, red, and yellow. Other colors dance through the painting, and it all invites you into the story.

Color is an extraordinary force in our lives that permeates the very essence of the world, weaving straight into the tapestry of our lives in mesmerizing and surprising ways. I love being an artist and using color and composition to evoke passion and feelings with my artwork.

Color possesses an intrinsic power to evoke emotions, ignite memories, and elevate our spirits. From the lush green of grass in the painting above, to the vibrant hues of the horses to the warm golden rays of a brilliant sun, color envelops us in a visually captivating embrace.

Color's presence in nature is a testament to the beauty that lies around us which the greatest artist, GOD created for us. Color both arouses our senses and nourishing our souls. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, color holds the ability to influence our moods and perceptions, infusing our everyday experiences with its captivating energy.

Whether it be the soothing blues of a serene ocean or the fiery reds of a flickering flame, color subtly shapes our thoughts and emotions, allowing us to savor and appreciate the rich tapestry of life.

As artists are here in our lives to tell the raw story of life and time today....we are empowered by the colors we weave through our paintings.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." Hebrews 11:3

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
