"We have reverse weather in north Texas. Jan and Feb are usually our coldest months where we get winter normally in the 40s and 50s.  It is going to be in the eighties today.  I pulled a painting from my archive to share. Back in 2004-2010 I painted a handful of these, of which two were commissions that were larger.  There is something settling doing a landscape/seascape and tying in a sunrise or sunset.    I am sipping hot tea trying to clear the morning fog out of my head with the pressure of reversed fronts out of the south. Do not believe I will be painting today.  Think it is a curl up and read a book and sit outside around noon in the 80 degrees!

Rooibos Tea

Is this a new word for you?   When it comes to tea it is a person choice for your palette. Rooibos is one of the top for mind clarity and I happen to love the flavor.  I drink it straight, no sugar or cream.

"Rooibos tea is a type of tea that’s native to South Africa, and it has many health benefits. One such benefit is the ability to increase focus and overall cognitive function. This tea contains antioxidants that will help reduce stress levels in your brain, allowing you to think more clearly than before. In addition to this tea’s mental benefits, it can also help increase your metabolism and reduce inflammation in the body."

We have a South African store near us and I buy it in tea bags, but in bulk. Keeping it in a sealed Tin keeps it fresh!  It truly is a mind clearing thing and it has been a blessing in my life for the past six years.  My mother loves all the 'biscuits' in tins they have.  They are on Facebook.  ANTON's   We feel at home shopping there or eating there. The grand children love the candy in their stockings from Anton's this past Christmas. You should be able to order on line from them HERE. We get all our fresh bread from there with limited ingredients.

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
