"Suddenly about ten yesterday morning, the storms had blown through and I picked up an empty canvas and started painting this soft precious group of iris. It would be rich in a frame that brought out the delicate beauty.  There was no pre thought which was not good... I worked on it about 7 hours. Enjoy the day today...

 Delicate Beauty

The definition of Delicate Beauty is "1. exquisite, fine, or subtle in quality, character, construction, etc. 2 having a soft or fragile beauty. 3 (of colour, tone, taste, etc.) pleasantly subtle, soft, or faint.

When I think of delicate beauty, my mind envisions our family and our Father God.  He created each of us uniquely to be who we are with certain gifts he bestowed to each of us, as well as talents and bad habits. If you take a group of 14 of us... that is meshing together a lot of delicate beauty. I can honestly say, sometimes in the war zone of families, that is not always best side forward.

Uniqueness of families is being aware of each persons weaknesses and their strengths. In a family, you pull together for each other no matter what the situation is and you are always there for each other.  Not sure about your family but the times of unexpected things prove us to be strong together. As the 'Mom' and 'Oma' of this group, I know I worry too much about each and every one. Terry, as the 'Pop and Bampa' of this tribe, keeps me balanced as he does each of them... staying and navigating our best course always.

Sometimes we are blessed in a lifetime with those we call family, and I have had some wonderful relationships in the past, today and hopefully for many years to come with those family friends. For me they are like sisters and brothers and they are people I can be brutally honest with or intimate with fears and worries.

When I was cruising the internet for delicate beauty, I came across This delicate Lover: God rarely embraces us by Force.  I recommend you click over to check this article out. God does go through delicate (extraordinary ) lengths to keep us obedient to His will.  Dr Jeff Mirus writes to remind us God has a habit of quietly working to remind us of His love... never forcing anything.  I giggled at a program he wrote that the Lord could have for us... you need to read it.  There are Delicate Miracles and Habitual grace too.  God is the master of sweet somethings... in HIS DELICATE WAYS!

We are blessed with our delicate balance of love in our 14 member family. We travel this journey together under the love of our Almighty God!

And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. And when Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?... Go, return on your way.” [1 Kgs 19:11-15]

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
