Beneath

I began laying up a few canvas this morning in between running errands, cooking, moving china and cleaning out drawers. Things are always shifting when you least expect it. It is late tonight, already past six. I always used to blog at 6:30 am each morning. Not sure I could get here then, I am on the treadmill each morning by  6:30 doing my 3-4 miles. Usually walk at least 45 min and just trying to squeeze a faster walk in.

I have been in touch with another painter I have know for many years, Elizabeth Chapman. She is an awesome artist and I own  three of her paintings now.  She took a small break from working about the same time I did, and I am still redefining and shifting, wanting to get back to the pleasure of the journey and not a forced 'got to get this done.' I need to go see what is on her easel... but I do not want to trip up my process of discovery right now.

I will post progress here on this one as I go. I have two to share the journeys on and will be forthright in doing it.  I have always shared the Spirit of The Paint with you in my work because of my faith and belief, The Lord has his hand in all I create unless I have gotten in the way taking the painting in a wrong direction. Painting intuitively with prayer and allowing the freedom from worry and direction to be absent in the process.

Paint with the colors that make my heart sing. Paint the 'things' in life that call me... horses, flowers, and trees. No telling what direction I will take off tomorrow. Have a blessed evening tonight.

Oh by the way... I have been keeping instagram silent right now still after the attack on FB in October.  Do any of you follow me there? I will work on that later this week!  I did create a new Twitter account. I had actually closed mine during the attack.  @ellepacestudio

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

It has to head to Mirada Fine Art in about three or four weeks... meanwhile it will be banished to the room with the dehumidifier in it.  Stay tuned at Mirada Fine Art with Steve Sonnen for more details about what is happening to this "crowd" from my Good People Series.  In fact, drop Steve an email and ask to be added to the mailing list for this special gathering.  Good food, good friends and good art.   What more could you want?
