BLUEBIRD... Blessed are those who wait on HIM. by Laurie Pace

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!" Isaiah 30:18

RedBird Sings in the Bluebird.
"Blessed are all who wait for him!"

Waiting through the winter and the Spring... and suddenly the appearance of Redbirds (Cardinals) in my back yard.  I grabbed a photo here and there as we had not seen them in the past few years of the lock down.

As we neared Mothers Day, Morgan took me out car shopping and I tried out a new Mercedes, another Range Rover...and two weeks ago, Stacey promised a trip to the Freeman Hyundai where they had purchased five cars. Justin also drives a Hyundai. Life happens and Stacey has been very busy.

$142 for one tank of gas for our Ram
What spurred this sudden push? Our youngest son borrowed our truck and drove on a trip to pick up some furniture from east Texas.  When he brought the truck back it only had 48 miles left in the tank. We gassed it up and it was $142.  ONE TANK of GAS and that is our grocery bill each week.... they are equal.

Terry took me to the dealership right after we gassed up. Not sure if you know this, but there are NO CARS on the lot in very many dealerships.  This one had a smattering of cars out front. Might have been 7 or 8.  Inside the dealership there were two more.  Freeman Hyundai is a major role in this story. Stacey had spoken highly of this dealership over the years. There was NO WHERE to test drive the cars. The freeway was totally under construction. I drove in rectangles around a two block area for the next hour and a half. The Santa Fe was nice but I wanted a blue one with tan interior.  I have learned over the past six months there is no 'getting' exactly what you want unless you can wait up to six months.

WAIT UPON THE LORD

We left after we realized the only Santa Fe blue one with white interior had sold ten min before we arrived.  Remember yesterday's story about WAIT UPON THE LORD...and the Red Bird.  There were signs everywhere around me over the next 8 hours and signs that led me directly to my destination.

The Redbirds were in the back yard after we got home

The call came from Stacey that she found a Ford Explorer Blue with white interior in Southwest Ft Worth that they were just unloading. (Which means it could be sold anytime and we had to head that way.). Before we could leave, I received a text from "Patrick" from Freeman Hyundai.  He said he had a Tucson in that was blue with White Interior.  It had only been two hours.  Stacey pulled up to get me and I texted Patrick back... send photos... and they came... blue with white... and we headed down there.  I had not driven the Tucson.

As we arrived... we found out the new cars were not arriving for a week but we could drive a Tucson and then leave a deposit for that particular car.  There was a pretty blue car inside the dealership that I had not looked at. What I had looked at was online and it was the Tucson was ranked over the Santa Fe. It was ranked over all SUV's close in size by almost ever review.  Next and last hurdle... I have not driven a car in five years. Not my cup of tea... but right there in the Dealership was a blue Tucson with black/grey interior. It was a Limited maxed out.  I slid into the seat and instantly felt at home. I bought the car. Stacey laughed happily and we tag teamed home me following her. It was getting dark and I cannot see at night...but God was with us and it RAINED on us. We need rain so badly here in this area...and God placed this rain cloud over us and I knew there would be a rainbow from it.

Saturday Morning at Freeman Hyundai

I named the car BlueBird. As you can see by the photos... she is blue!

He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows." Isaiah 30:23

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 The Marsh 6 x 12 inches Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   I did two of these paintings about three years ago. They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector. Simple and elegant for a horse painting.  Ephesians 5:1-2 "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma."  One of the biggest challenges in walking with God is trusting Him and not trying to out think Him or to do everything your way. It never works.  The Apostle Paul wrote of his own struggles in Romans 7 .  Romans 7: 22-23 “ So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the ...
