“Even if you cannot change all the people around you, you can change the people you choose to be around. Life is too short to waste your time on people who don’t respect, appreciate, and value you. Spend your life with people who make you smile, laugh, and feel loved.” Roy T Bennett The Light in Heart
The Painting
This was one of my smaller Painted Pony Pulls of color. The colors rock the scale with the bright yellow heating up the composition and the reds slicing up next to the yellow. The action lies in these primary colors and secondary colors all working the surface. I would love to paint one just for you in your fav colors!
How to Change Other People
Things can bother all of us, but usually 'things' are attached to actions of other 'people. One of the things we learn early in life is how to blame the nearest person. Perhaps the blame is our own. When we are suffering our initial tendency is to blame someone else or blame a situation for things going wrong causing our high level of stress.
It is true, if someone was intentionally trying to hurt you and stepped on your foot... your foot is throbbing and you have a person to blame and a situation you cannot change. Often situations arise from the decisions of others and those decisions affect us. Our choice is not to change the situation or the person, but to change our own position and our reactions.
By reflecting and examining your current reactions, you are able to adjust your responses. I encourage you to be a person of positive flexibility. Look for the good side. Believe in yourself because you have full control over your reactions.
Today it is necessary to always seek a lighter side. Do not take everything seriously. Positive psychology can create positive change in our nation. You actually empower others by leading by example.
An optimistic mindset is infectious; it lays the groundwork for individual and collective success. Research shows changing your view to be more optimistic can create a positive reaction from others and spread outward. It starts from within your heart and then your words and actions.
In today's world, it is time to adjust our mindsets and switch to an optimistic view. Our current climate points blame in numerous directions and yet no one claims responsibility for the jobs they are doing or not doing. Let it start with you... share positivity to others nearby. They in turn will continue to spread it to others.
“The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him. " Nahum 1:7
