Dawn Rises Wolf

“Fear isn't so difficult to understand. After all, weren't we all frightened as children? Nothing has changed since Little Red Riding Hood faced the big bad wolf. What frightens us today is exactly the same sort of thing that frightened us yesterday. It's just a different wolf. This fright complex is rooted in every individual.” Alfred Hitchcock

The Painting

Dawn Rises... and the wolf knows it is time to be hidden again, or does he? The toss of the wolf's head gazing at the growing light between the trees in the forest shows a sense of awareness and caution. This painting built from the bottom surfaces covered in dark blues and dark grays with slits of white where the gold settled. Looking back on the beginnings, I have decided I will be painting a dark blue wolf hidden in the woods doing something similar.  Might be a rising moon!  Palette knife build up of colors reaching a half inch or more in height over the flat surface. All oils and no fillers.

The Species Invasion - The Predator Part 2

When a species invades an area of population in the world, they definitely affect the environment.  With the world's population growing at a rapid rate, we have more people, more products used and needed, more food grown to eat, but not any more land appearing to sustain us. No I am not left in thought, but I grew up in the sixties. There was a power structure in society at the time and I often heard things like, "Those damn hippies." (I was caught between wanting to be a flower child and actually being a full time runway model with fashion my path.) Politics were disjointed in those days. All sides were sneaky and rotting. It has been said the radical left is the total opposite of deliberative politics, but at the same time it was and still is today, highly coordinated and organized.

Today in our globalization of products and people we will face an invasion to many of our populations and countries. Invasion of what?  An exotic species can be deadly. As the centuries have past, today in the world, people are not equipped or ready to deal with an 'invasion' because we have lost the ability to identify the predators in our midst before they do damage to our society.  Our entire society today is being shoved, stretched and ripped apart. The predator of today has had years of study and practice in different scenarios around the world. We need only to look SOUTH to see the results :

  • Over a million immigrants have crossed the Texas border and another 500,000 are on their way. They are leaving South American Countries that have fallen to Socialism.  The last few nights the cartel in Mexico was shooting AR 47s at the Texas National Guard across our southern border. Last time I heard this was an act of war.  Is this what you want in our country?

As this species has grown they have altered the environment in a manner that is more favorable for them, but less favorable for us. OR is this what you want below?  It is already happening.

  • Our taxes are paying for child tax credit for all illegal immigrants and possibly for their free college. Our tax money is paying for their air fair to the city of their choice. When did Uncle Sam cover your trip anywhere free ...flying by plane. (I believe someone gave the sum of $80k per immigrant.)  Not sure about you but we did not take government handouts, nor were they offered when scrambling to pay for college. Our kids worked to cover their college as well. None of us has had an expense free trip anywhere.
  • These same immigrants are not being vaccinated yet our government wants us all vaccinated with a vaccine that has not been given all the test of time.
  • We have lost our protection of HIPPA and our right to choose medical which goes against the Nuremburg Code and the crimes against humanity - the cause of World War II (The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, overreaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. )
  • There are too many people still sitting at home drawing unemployment ignoring available jobs creating issues with small business staying open. Meanwhile there are open jobs everywhere at $15 and up

If you have not read THE THIRD REICH: A History of Nazi Germany by Thomas Childers, you should.  It is a powerful reminder of what happens when power in a government goes unchecked.

Meanwhile, pray for the dawn that our nation wakes up because the predator is here and he is not afraid of the light.   Tomorrow I will be away walking away from the predators... and focusing on the goodness that still exists here in our lives. God walks before us.

Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves." Matthew 7:15

Mixed Media Collage Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Justus Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Horse Collage Fall 2013  12 x 18 inches Mixed Media on Canvas.  This was an intentional paint to imitate one of the 100 ponies I did in 2012. That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Website   Thinking ahead to the Thanksgiving celebration next week, I remembered back to those previous dinners that I cooked, served, ate quickly, and cleaned up.  This is how I felt.  It is probably strange...even for me but I had the best fun sketching it out and painting it. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...

Sleeping Cowboy . Ernest Hemingway . Sunday, a day of rest . Western Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

My life has the tendency to fall apart when I'm awake, you know?” Ernest Hemingway  I really enjoyed painting this scene. It was restful to me as the artist  and loved by our friends.  Sunday is the day of rest. I smiled when I found this in archives and thought it perfect for this day.  If you live in Texas you know that we still have 'rules' about not selling liquor before noon.  If you live in Texas and are in your late thirties and up, you might even remember Blue Laws.   Stores were simply NOT open...
