“I am a princess. All girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics. Even if they dress in rags, even if they aren’t pretty, or smart, or young. They’re still princesses.”
― Frances Hodgson Burnett, A Little Princess

It was 11 years ago that I painted this young princess. My own granddaughter was a tiny baby at this time.  This princess lived in a nearby town in a castle with her family. Notice her ONE SINGLE RED ROSE.

I treasure fun small paintings like this.  I hope to embark on new color in the studio in the next month.

The older you become, the more you realize it is the small special things in life that stick with you in your memories.  When you are in prayer with the Lord, remember he places multitudes of small simple things in your life all throughout your days.  What have you found or noticed?

This morning on the treadmill, I had the front door open and the huge elm tree in our front yard is filled with lush beautiful green leaves this summer. (Thanks to spring rains) In it flittering about were many birds and the one easiest to spot was the cardinal.  The cardinal is always my reminder that God is providing and there with me.

Today our lives are under attack. Doesn't matter what side of the political ring you sit on, we are all under attack and stress and depression, anger and sadness, and worry consume all of us. Many families are not making it.
  • Turn off your TV and stop watching the news
  • Look for beauty around you through out the day
  • Sing your favorite songs.
  • Get exercise daily
  • Eat healthy and stay away from the unhealthy choices as it weakens your body and mind.
  • Call a friend and share some time together.
  • Remember to tell yourself that GOD is walking this with you and you are not alone.
  • Lean on God. He will carry you if he needs to.

"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."    Philippians 2:9-11

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
