“Now no feeling can be relied on to last in its full intensity, or even last at all. Knowledge can last, habits can last, but feelings come and go.”
— CS LEWIS
One of my favorite past times in the summer is to lay back on the ground (or on a float in the pool) and watch the Texas skies. The clouds are always thick and racing across the sky. They come in shapes like dogs and teddy bears. Some are pure white and some or tinged with grey. I have even spotted ponies in the sky.
When you read the quote above about the “fleeting of feelings”, it truly puts things in perspective. Feelings bring to mind the word visceral. Definition: relating to deep inward feelings rather than to the intellect. In other words, Read More Here.
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”
— MATTHEW 7:12
