“Maybe love isn’t something that comes full circle. It just ebbs and flows, in and out, just like the people in our lives” Colleen Hoover

I have been busy reworking the SEO on my main website Lauriepace.com Seems like even SEO comes full circle as the ball changes or rolls about 190 degrees. oh wait.... it just spins around constantly. I have simplified my website in the move and will continue to make adjustments to having it work seamlessly for you as well as for me!

Did you ever think about how we each get caught and tied up in our own lives?  It is so easy to forget to stop and give thanks for all the good in our lives, or to stop and take in life around us.  Just this past weekend I began to think about the carefree young woman I was when adult life began. Surely all the "adult" responsibilities did not snuff out the joy and laughter, did they? To roll back 190 degrees back to carefree, what would it entail?

I remember reading somewhere that children laugh and smile 300-400 times a day. Adults might smile 6-10 times a day. What has steamrolled us in our lives that we have lost our joy and our ability to laugh, even if it means laughing at ourselves?

  • Simplify:  We need to make our lives easier.  We need to simplify how we live. We should learn the difference between wants and needs. If your life is like mine, you have a whole lot of 'stuff' you do not need. Time to empty your pockets.
  • New Perspective: We are greatly affected by stress in our lives and it creeps into every aspect of living. It affects our days and our nights. Make a list of things daily you have to be thankful for and a list of things that bring you joy. Let go of the worries and concerns that are eating at you. Do some of those things that make you smile. Take the time to read your list.
  • The Dirt and the Sun:  My mother always said to 'get outside and play in the dirt'.  She believed that the energy pulsing from the earth was needed for our healing and ridding all of the electronics and vibrations from our bodies and minds.  Remember how the doctor says Vitamin D 3 comes from the sun?  We all need 15-20 min in the late morning sun to soak in that Vitamin D.
  • Play it forward. When you are outside find something to do that makes you move around the area... not simple gardening but something that requires energy and movement. I love taking my guitar outside and sitting in the sun. When we lived at the lake I sat on the deck by the water and played and sang. No one could hear me so I could sing all I wanted on key or off key.
  • Dead End.  Is your every day job or every day responsibilities sucking you dry of energy? If so maybe you need to LET IT GO.  Find something that brings joy to you. (For me it is serving and helping others.)
  • Relationships. It is important in life to share things with others. We are community people and the investment of friends and good times is valuable. We need to share life.As we relate with others they become part of our life, and our lives become fuller.
  • Growth.  Challenges in our lives will always create growth. With growth comes a wonderful thing called happiness.
  • Passion.  What makes you erupt into a huge grin? What brings you joy?  What triggers an uncontrollable laugh? What can excite you and bring a smile to your face? What do you look forward to in life?
  • Activity.  Find some friends to 'play' with. Involve yourself directly into life and movement.
  • God has thisBelieve in His unending love.  He wants you happy and filled with joy so you can share it with some one else.
TAG... you are it.

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
