“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” Martin Luther King Jr.
This was a fabulous journey so far. It began with the sketch you see above and the painting is entitled appropriately, "ON THE RUN".
I was reading in my daily prayer book yesterday about being present... being focused on God. We get so caught up in daily chores, work, cooking and cleaning, we stop filtering things through God or even remembering to seek Him in prayer and in mind before we act or react or do things. God has not left the building... we have. God has not left our lives, we just are not filtering things through him any longer.
Psalm 123:1-3 I lift up my eyes to you, to you who sit enthroned in heaven. As the eyes of slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he shows us his mercy. Have mercy on us, Lord, have mercy on us, for we have endured no end of contempt."
