"Keep your mind open .... it is the only way new things can get in." Colleen Hoover, Slammed.
What does this mean? Keeping an open mind is one of the hardest things to do. We always seen to have an opinion on something and we want to be heard. If you are as strong willed as I am, often I do not hear what the other person is saying because I am preplanning how I am going to phrase what I want to say to them, making it impossible for me to hear anything from anyone else.
Keeping an open mind involves allowing yourself to embrace new and different things. These can be new views on something, new opportunities dropped before you or meeting new people and trying new things. All of this without prejudice and stubbornness. You have to be flexible.
Are you?
"But now, all of you who light fires and provide yourselves with flaming torches, go walk in the light of your fires and the torches you have set ablaze. This is what you shall receive from my hand: You will lie down in torment." Isaiah 50:11
