" Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to under that this too, was a gift." Mary Oliver
Terry and I have been reading together the entire Bible this year. At the same time I pulled in Streams in the Desert written almost 100 years ago. Truly times have changed but life's hard times have not. The devotional from July 31st reminded me that darkness is followed by light. Through our trials we become stronger. When you doubt your course or a decision lies ahead, pray for all the doors to be shut but the one you are suppose to go through. He always precedes us in our journey. The mishaps, trials and temptations are to strengthen us to rely on him. There is always a light in your darkest times. He is there with you and his light will sustain you and bring you back into the light.
Genesis 4:7 "If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? but if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it."
