I Must Have Flowers . . . Pink Gladiolus! Texas Artist Laurie Pace

I have not journaled much this week... been working on other things in the studio. Paintings, revamping my journey and goals.  We all have to think about those things in life and be aware of the times that require examination and change.  Change is that hard word for most of us.

My friend Tom brought me three bulbs to plant and I added them to my iris group out front. About a month later these beautiful pink gladiolus began blooming. They are rich with intense pink color and brought a dramatic change to the front garden area.  He laughed when he saw them on FB and said he never knew what kind of bulb they were because the area where he planted them was shady and they had never bloomed. 

Maybe it is good to look at our lives to see if we are sitting in the shade out of the rays of sunlight.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The Marsh... of our lives? Walking with God.

They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector.
