"Dude, the bush is ready. Why you still beating around it?" " I've lived a long time, kid, and I never heard anyone mutilate the English language quite like you." Karen Marie Moning, ICED
"YOU SHOULD NOT SAY SUCH BAD WORDS."
Terry and I were reading right along together...he was reading out loud from the book of 2Samuel, when suddenly our Alexa (aka Echo) spoke out loudly, "You should not say such bad words."
Terry was reading from the new King James version of the Bible. We have had some issues with our Alexa (aka Echo) guest in the house. At random times she attempts to either join in the conversation or totally jump over the fence to new territory. It has crossed my mind that perhaps I do not want to keep this 'modern' device as she/IT is listening to everything that is said in our household and WHO IS TRACKING IT?
I am pretty well burned on politics and television watching. I record about six shows each week and other than Bonanza and Dr Quinn ... I am not a TV fan at all. So I am thinking it is time to disconnect the Alexa (aka Echo). Seems to have meant forfeiting our privacy in our home.
The text he was reading was as follows:
2 Samuel 11:18-21 "Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war, and charged the messenger, saying, "When you have finished telling the matters of the war to the king, if it happens that the king's wrath rises, and he says to you: 'why did you approach so near to the city when you fought? Did you not know that they would shoot from the wall? Who struck Abimelech the son of Jerrubbesheth? Was it not a woman who cast a piece of a millstone on him from the wall, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you go near the wall?' - then you shall say, 'Your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also."
