"Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset skey."  Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds

Oh the times in our lives.... they are so full of memories. Some of those push faster to the front because they left a stronger impression. Could be happy impression or a sad impression, depending of course of your life and your remembrances. People come in and out of our lives and each of them bring color to those memories and our lives. Some come for a reason. Some come for a season, but others come for a lifetime.

“Reasons" people can vary and the length of a person's stay in your life depends on why God has woven them into your days. They are usually there to help you through a need either inside or outside of you. There will be a reason for them to be there, and when they have served that need, they will depart from you suddenly and the relationship will end. What we have to realize is your need has been met and their work is done.

The “Season” people come into your life because it is your time to grow, share, laugh and live life fully. From them you may find real peace, or maybe even the laughter missing from your life. You might actually learn to do something new. These folks bring a tremendous amount of joy to you, but it is only for a season.

The “Life Timers” are next. Each of our lifetime relationships teach us lessons.  From these lessons we can build our lives up enriching our solid emotional foundation. We have to have open hearts and minds to accept these Life Timers and use the things they teach us in our other relationships.

"Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face." Job 13:15

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
