When teaching art to middle school students I loved my unit called You-niquley Yours.  We had piles of sugar cookies and lots of icing in colors, tons of decorating bits and pieces.  The cookies were about 8 inches each in size and everyone got to decorate three of them.  The lessons learned was we all started with the same things but none of our cookies looked the same. The ingredients were exactly the same. The directions in the 'recipe' were exactly the same. No two cookies looked alike.  

The painting above will change over the next few blogs till I get to the finished one.  This was from the workshop I did in early March. Right now my husband is just finishing up my lighting in my studio, painting the walls and hopefully installing an exhaust fan.  I cannot wait to start painting again!

So this piece looked like this at the end of the first day.... and I brought it home thinking it was finished...but it was not.

This was my first attack from home a few days later I stepped up the intensity...but watch where this goes tomorrow!

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
