“Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.” ― Langston Hughes
I shot this image after I did major rainfall to the canvas. Please notice the light yellow wash that started the entire process. It was before the horse is added...and yes there is a horse coming. This painting is suppose to reflect my happy place when things seem strained and overwhelming. Where do you go?
My treasure lies in watching my granddaughter draw with her sidewalk chalk in her bright raincoat and watching the chalk run in the wet concrete from the rain that just ended... and behind the rainbow, the promise from God to Noah never to flood the earth again.
"he is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.’" 2 Samuel 23:4
