“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” ― Martin Luther King Jr., A Testament of Hope: The Essential Writings and Speeches

I was asked recently about the Women's March that went on across the country. I believe totally in our right to a civil protest, but my first belief is in God our Father.  He teaches us in his word to Love our enemies.  Jesus never protested and he stopped the disciples from being active in responding in protest. ""Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword." Matthew 26:52

My longtime friend of almost fifty years, could not believe I would not stand up against the 'illegitimate' president in office here in the United States. She believes the Russians did it. She asked me "If you see something wrong will you be mute and turn a blind eye or will you choose to speak up?"

My prayers uplift and surround the leaders of our country today, just like they do every day.  President Trump has a long journey before him to help our country out of debt, out of hate, and out of the negative direction we seem to be spiraling. He cannot save us... only God can and until our hearts are in place as a nation, there can be no change. Hatred seems to abound right now.

I was amazed at the strength of the march and I love being a woman and I do believe in human rights, for both sexes, for all humans of any color. I am also pro-life. My faith teaches me to love my enemy, not to raise my 'sword' in protest, and to lead my life as an example serving others and spreading God's word.  I see absolutely nothing wrong with her choice to march and protest. It is simply not my choice.  I love her no matter what.  I love her passion for life and her deep caring for others.  I have the same passion, but my approach is different.

Where my friend heard the same words I heard, we basically just disagree on what we each heard inside our hearts. My God is in control and my faith is in him.  I believe in the words above of Martin Luther King Jr... Hate and anger can only be put to rest by love. GOD IS LOVE.

But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love," Psalm 33:18

Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
