“Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit” ― E.E. Cummings
Excitement is growing. You can now see all those blues and mauves and grays filled into the background. I chose to go with golden yellow and a tiny bit of orange in contrast to those gorgeous shade of blue, spacing this brighter color to go from the top right of the canvas and take the eye all the way through diagonally to the bottom left of the canvas. I am beginning this first part of the painting using several wide brushes. These are Rosemary brushes that I purchased online from the UK traveling all the way to my studio in Texas. Thanks to the sharing of artist Kathy Cousart of her favorite larger brushes. I have not been disappointed.
Ahead lies the decision as to the horses and their colors… which usually dictate their spirits.
Matthew 13:21 " Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
