“Paul's last words to Linda: "You're up on your beautiful Appaloosa stallion. It's a fine spring day. We're riding through the woods. The bluebells are all out, and the sky is clear-blue".”― Paul McCartney
Deep breath as I start writing this blog today. I remember my last visit with my Dad before he passed away and continued on to God. I also remember some of my last visits shared with him as he began to slip further and further from his earthly bounds. He saw people in his mind that had died years before. His Mom was there and his sisters. He talked about Christmas and Santa Claus coming. He spoke of sitting at the table to a meal with everyone. He suffered from Alzheimers but I do not believe this is what caused these thoughts or memories... I think we all go back to a safe place in life. A time where we were content and hope laid ahead for our earthly journey. Then as the time draws near for our next journey to continue on with the Father... it is those memories from years before that bring us comfort and hope because we have nothing to envision ahead to grasp how the transformation will take place. Just my thoughts...nothing else.
When I came across this quote from Paul McCartney to his dying wife, Linda... I teared up. What a beautiful thing to plant in her mind as she let go of this life to move to the next... riding on her Appaloosa.
"Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness .. That very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words." Romans 8:28
