“Lost opportunities, lost possibilities, feelings we can never get back. That's part of what it means to be alive. But inside our heads - at least that's where I imagine it - there's a little room where we store those memories. A room like the stacks in this library. And to understand the workings of our own heart we have to keep on making new reference cards. We have to dust things off every once in awhile, let in fresh air, change the water in the flower vases. In other words, you'll live forever in your own private library.” ― Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore
I love the part of letting fresh air into our lives. We stay stagnant way too long. Perhaps that means GOD is the fresh air you need in your life. He brings to you peace and freedom. Can't want much more than that in life. We worry about the upcoming elections, the economy, our health, our family... the list seems endless.
God uplifts us in our lives and we are sustained by his 'fresh air'. That includes His love, His creativity, His light and His total protection. I have to strive to let go and be less willful and more willing. I need to let go of control and thinking I have to solve everything in life because only God can bring in that fresh air and guide me forward.
BTW... this painting never was finished... I sold it just like this because it was finished... it was perfect.
"But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, "You are my God." Psalm 31:14
