I smiled a huge smile when I received an email from someone I did not know... and this painting was attached to it.  It was gifted to them by a good friend in exchange for something the person had done to help them. It was unexpected but the good friend knew how much the person was attracted to the painting.  The person searched for me and found my website. It was one of mine... entitled "Prom".  Painted during my pop art period;  I loved the simplicity of painting this group of pieces. They all told a story. Some funnier than others! I may have to repost some of them over the next few days for you to grasp the stories.
I sent out an envelope to the person with a new Certificate of Authenticity to them. I do hope they enjoy it every day... just like I truly loved painting it. 
Nothing like shaking it up when you are an artist and exploring new territories. By the way... an artist is not an artist without cake either!  We want our cake and our icing too.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector.
