“Somewhere deeper in the city a motor is running, a distant, earthy growl, like an animal panting. in a few hours the bright blush of morning will push through all that darkness, and shapes will reassert themselves, and people will wake up and yawn and brew coffee and get ready for work, everything the same as usual. Life will go on. Something aches at the very core of me, something ancient and deep and stronger than words: the filament that joins each of us to the root of existence, that ancient thing unfurling and resisting and grappling, desperately for a foothold, a way to stay here, breathe, keep going.” ― Lauren Oliver, Delirium
Deep breath. How do you feel about the blush of morning?
We have found the house we are moving too. Not by far the house of my dreams but a palette to be wiped of somethings and enhanced with others. The one thing I am sure of, my home is blessed by the Father, and that blessing alone will bring trials as we face the work ahead. Every day with that blush of morning we will pray over the day ahead accepting the challenge and we know that He will be working beside us. God sees deep inside of each of us. I am sure he thinks the same things... we have some good things and some really nasty things that make us up. I celebrate that my Father can lift me above when I am low and feeling the rawness of life. Only He can clear the fog that settles in our life when we just do not understand something and become hopeless.
So although this house is not my chosen house that I feel I wanted, it is the house he provided to keep us close to family and our dear grandchildren. We are blessed each day.
"But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. " Psalm 86:15
