Good Things Ahead? Keep Love in your Life Laurie Pace, Artist

Wealth is a word that crops up often, along with good fortune. As a Christian I really do not believe in luck and I believe wealth is not necessarily money at all. I am wealthy with family and love and blessed with many gifts. 

In the same breath I know that I have to feel worthy to receive God's gifts and bounty and my heart and hands have to be open to receive what he offers.  Often many of us feel unworthy of God in our lives and stay living in the dark hiding from His light and love. How can you possibly receive anything while you are in hiding? 

Yes there are good things ahead in your life. Let today be the beginning of your life. Make this day count. Stop waiting for something or someone to come along to change things, only you can change them and find the true value and meaning in what you have.  Be positive and share a smile with others today and you will find yourself growing with compassion and joy. You will find wealth in living.

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top.
