“If I had a flower for every time I thought of you...I could walk through my garden forever.” ― Alfred Lord Tennyson

How often do you stop and think about GOD and what kind of day he is having?
I remember when one year when teaching in Argyle Middle School,  I lost two of my students at different times for different reasons in one year...  they were taken back to heaven to be with God.  One actually was obese and had a heart attack and died, at school.  The other one was in a car full of family and the car was hit head on.  She did not survive.  I wrote a poem that year about the loses and wrote about God's garden.  He plucked them from this earthly garden just before they began to bloom and open to show their beauty.

Never is an easy way to deal with the death of a child or someone young.  We lost our eldest grandson at age 11 in February of 2007.  That was one of the hardest times we have faced seeing him on life support at the hospital.  Savoring all the times and memories we had and mourning for the ones we would never have.

Enjoy your family and the garden God has provided for you.  We are soon to come into Advent and the preparation of our hearts and homes for Christmas.  I am praying your heart is in a good place and you are ready to journey through the season.

"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
