“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” ― Anaïs Nin
Layering. I want to sit here and see what comes through praying on the words The Layering.
When I paint I work in layers of color. Sometimes I work dark to light and sometimes light to dark. OR I could work values to values, or contrast and compliments.
Stop this morning and think how God works in our lives in Layers. From the second of our conception the journey here in this life begins. God is layering in our grandchildren's life right now. Little Tootie has toes, fingers, and a body that is growing and changing more every day. At the same time God is layering in her big Sister Lady L and in her parents,  Stacey and Larry's life with all the changes in their family. We just had a new grandson arrive and God gives us all nine months to prepare for this event.
Usually we do not have that much time to adjust to change, but with a family addition, I guess He felt time was needed. He has allowed us to build in layers of life in preparation. Cappy's foundation will be rooted in the beliefs Morgan and Kelly instill in him from this time forward, which even began before he was born.  I pray all of our family will be surrounded by the strong beliefs in this family to uphold, uplift and embrace this new child with the love of God, his son Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
It is never too late to begin layering in your life or the lives of your children. The things you do today matter. The things you do not do today matter as well. Make it all count. There are unlimited possibilities with God.
"Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom for the future."--Proverbs 19:20

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
