“Yellow flowers are like physical manifestations of sunlight. I’m growing a garden of sunglasses just to help save eyesight and make the world a little bit cooler.”
― Jarod Kintz, Xazaqazax
This has been a year of awareness through the world of cyberspace. Facebook connects the world and we gather 'friends' that we never will know face to face. There is a pattern to posting as these new online friends post images of their homes, families...happy moments and times they move through death of a loved one or even their own passing. Fellow artists have gone through painful times losing their spouses, parents or sometimes even their children. We become more aware of the rawness of life and death.
Regardless of our circumstances at the moment, on this day closing out summer in Texas, well slowly at least, we are blessed with this day. Around us are constant reminders of of God's goodness and creation. We can see the summer blooms still brightening our world and we hear the joyful laughter of children in the late afternoon after the bus lets them off to scamper home. Nearby are roses growing... can you smell them?
Sip your iced tea and savor the moment as summer begins to come to an end and before us looms the gorgeous beauty of fall. GOD IS ALIVE and so am I.
"Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you." Psalm 70:4
