Well... this is it! I finished it.   Each painting takes from me my spirit, my heart and hours from my life.  When it goes from my home to a gallery and then a new home later... all of that goes with the piece.  It is a living part of me... in paint and canvas.  It is the spirit of God working through me. It is a lasting love.  
The rust is balanced out and the energy surrounding the horse does not distract from his power. As it dries, this baby is heading north to a gallery in Utah.
And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. Genesis 1:14-15

We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
