With the new Lady M in the family, we are all falling in love... head over heels in love. She is now getting close to four months old, has found her hands and absolutely loves music.

How does music affect your life?  Share with me on facebook:

We had Connie and Rick Justus visiting last week. They have been missionaries in Japan for 30 years and just moved back to the states.  On a tour of the US to visit relatives, they squeezed in a stop with us here in north Texas. They had lunch with my mom and two brothers and then drove to our house for dinner and spending the night before heading to Oklahoma City.  The house was literally filled with peace from the moment they arrived. Do you know that saying about entertaining angels unaware?  Well, it was beautiful.  Dinner in Southlake and deep conversation sharing our lives until after midnight.  We broke our fast with old fashioned oatmeal and deep conversations.

Along the way Rick mentioned music being special...that sound was woven through the bible and God was not a silent God as He created music filling our world from our voices to the voices of the waterfalls, the birds, the wind etc. You can find verses throughout the bible with singing and music. Did you know Solomon wrote over a thousand songs... 1 King 4:31-32 "[Solomon] was wiser than any other man, including Ethan the Ezrahite --wiser than Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations.  He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five."

I decided that this was worth investigating and reading more.  I paint to music.  I play music. I love to sing to the Lord.  We found Lady M is entertained into relaxation by Lady L playing the piano, or as it was today, her Bampa and I holding her and with Lady L, the three of us singing to her with the top choice for a smile Que Sera Sera.  Tranced, relaxed... we forged on with Jesus Loves Me, and several other children's hymns.  She will talk early and probably be our singer.

Blessings, Laurie

Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
