Jumping right in to paint was so much fun. I sketched from another painting that was a three on the run group of buffalo using the same mountain edge and then began to toss the colors in attempting to capture the movement of the day. The colors were BURSTING with intensity. This is a piece for a March Show at Mirada featuring four artists and the west. This one runs high with energy for sure.
I will post the final next journal. I sway back and forth on whether I like the blues, reds and yellows or the tucked in accents of green and orange.
I just finished a fascinating book. It is called Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach.
A New York contact, possible future client, suggested I read the book. Have you ever met someone that you had an immediate connection to, even over the phone? He was just that. He is about the age of my younger brother, well traveled and very sensitive to others. We visited quite a long time after messaging back and forth. We even mentioned we felt like something pulled us together just for that conversation. As we ended the conversation he suggested this book to me. I must confess the book was quite different than I imagined. It is a 'light book' that is truly quite heavy if you absorb it correctly. Just like everything else in life, the book truly offers what you discover in it. I am allowing it to seep in and I will read it again and this time take notes. Yep, you are right. I got the KINDLE edition for my ipad and that is really rare as I like to hold and write in my books. I noticed there seems to be a way to do that in the online process of reading, but most likely it will be pencil and paper.
Have you read it? I would love to hear comments or feedback about how you felt reading the book and what your favorite quote was. .. Good Reads has some of the best quotes from the book : One of my favorites: “There is no such thing as a problem with out a gift for you in its hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts.” ” ― Richard Bach, Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah

So even if you do not read the book, take a moment and read some of the quotes.
Wishing you Sunshine and blessings, Laurie
