I was working diligently at my computer yesterday when Terry asked if I wanted to go to the Home Depot with him.  With Joy and Peace still my focus, I answered "Yes of course."

Part of finding 'joy' is remembering how precious the time is when we do things together. At home we are often off into our 'things'...me painting or blogging, him doing 'honey dos' around the house. I usually like going to HD. It is just a few miles and always a bustling busy store. Like any other trip, we parked in the lot a few rows from the loading doors by the wood. We grabbed our basket and walked around gathering his list of small items. (I got a new dustpan!)  The last thing he picked up was the wood he needed for the overlay upstairs to finish the last bedroom with floors. He loaded seven huge sheets of plywood to one of the large carts and we proceeded to check out. While I was paying for the purchase he went to get the truck to move it to the loading zone.

With the truck parked outside we pushed the plywood toward it.   He had parked our truck between five other trucks in the loading zone...and one more pulling in behind him. NO ONE was in any of the trucks. Most of the trucks were pulled in and left sideways across two lanes. No one was loading anything. I glanced around hoping some of the people would return as it looked pretty dicey to navigate between the trucks to leave the loading zone.

We chose right then to both shake our heads and laugh. He turned on the truck engine and begin sliding his Big Black Truck between two white trucks both parked at opposite angles across the three marked lanes. As we proceeded a young man pushing a cart out the door began waving his hands in horror. (Terry parked and taxied triple 7's for American Airlines. If anyone could do this, he could.) I heard him chuckle as he pulled around the first truck and into the clear of the second one.  The man with the basket had two small items. He shoved his basket into the lot, grabbed his box of nails and caulk and jumped in his truck and left right behind us.

Where am I going with this? LOADING ZONE?  Not Shopping Zone.  - Not Drive through Service - NOT "Parking for Expectant Mothers" - Not Handicapped..but LOADING zone. - People amuse me.  No need to get ruffled or upset... look at the brighter side and enjoy the day. My husband is my hero and we both got a good chuckle.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
