This precious tulip painting evolved from left over paint on my palette from one of my horses. This is the spirit of the paint in full force from the beginning stroke of color to the end. This is the joy in painting. Happiness found the painting and me.
T. S. Elliot wrote:
“For last year's words belong to last year's language - And next year's words await another voice. And to make an end is to make a beginning."
I have written before about extending your hands out and open in order to receive. If you do not close doors, you will never be challenged to open new ones. Staying stagnant is allowing yourself to die piece by piece while you are still alive. Open your heart this year; open your ears to hear: open your hands to not only give to others but to receive back in kind; open your eyes to see what is really before you, and try new things.
Open new doors. Take changes. Grow. Give and Live.

Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies—
make your way straight before me. Psalms 5:8
