One of my signature pulled painted Ponies is just going to the drying rack. Strong blues created the back ground as the other colors begin to layer on top bringing the power of the paint and the spirit of the knife.
The palette reminds me of the dark clear blue sky outside...deeper with each cold front that pushes through the border from Oklahoma. The colors are the leaves on the trees outside my windows... some still green, others slightly brown and many with shades of red and orange. I wish the first freeze was soon but that is usually in late November, two months away.
Some of you know that my daughter is expecting a second little girl in February. We are all pretty excited. I have finally settled on a nickname that feels good. Our first granddaughter was Tinkerbelle aka TINK, and this one is Cutie Patootie aka Tootie. Now Tink, also referred to as Lady L, is not really excited about the name Tootie. She continues to petition me to consider WINK for Periwinkle or PERI...but I am pretty set on Tootie. We have about three more months until we meet this new granddaughter. Such a wonderful gift from God...and a total surprise at that.
The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord, over mighty waters.
The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. Psalm 29:3-4
Blessings, Laurie

We have had our summer evenings, now for October eves!”
