One of those wild trips yesterday to see the TINK and her parents.   Not that we truly needed another road trip but I needed a TARGET trip and Tink is the perfect person to wheel around in the basket. Target makes her SMILE!

We enjoyed seeing her in her OU tutu during the game on Saturday and then in long sleeves for the cooler weather on Sunday.  Terry and I left around noon to drive back. Stacey has to send me photos I took with her camera.

When we tried to leave on Saturday, we pulled out of the driveway and back six times, so the seventh back out... we took off and I remembered the camera about 15 miles away and we did not turn back. ALL the prior turn-backs were Terry related.  Keys, phones, chargers, book, etc.  Glad I pack his underwear and socks are he might not make these trips.

We took the dog... and hopefully we won't do that one again.  NO sleep at night so I am THRILLED to be home.

I picked up a few fall tops at Target and a notebook to fill with "thoughty Thoughts" for a dear young woman in my life who is 16 now.  This is a promise  I made her. Where she lives she does not have daily internet access, so I will be "mini-blogging" in her book several times a week.

Is there someone you could share your thoughts with NOT in an email? Have you thought about actually writing a letter or sending a card?  I was deeply warmed by a card from a woman named Kelli. I had worked with her and her school donating artwork images to their school annual.  She was so kind to have kept up with my blog and when Terry's dad died, she sent the sweetest card. It meant so much to both of us and we do not even know this person very well, but I am treasuring the thought of her kindness to extend out to us right now.

I know there is someone in your life that could benefit from a card or a letter...think about it and get busy.  Give of your time today to bring a smile to someone special.

It has to head to Mirada Fine Art in about three or four weeks... meanwhile it will be banished to the room with the dehumidifier in it.  Stay tuned at Mirada Fine Art with Steve Sonnen for more details about what is happening to this "crowd" from my Good People Series.  In fact, drop Steve an email and ask to be added to the mailing list for this special gathering.  Good food, good friends and good art.   What more could you want? Email Steve here.   Tell him to put you on the list for  the Special June Showing. Laurie Pace A Texas Artist Golden Pond Studio My Blog          My Website     ...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
