The Painting: It began looking like a dove in flight and using some of my newer palette colors for November:

Then came the overlays of oils and the final layers to finish this unique piece. While I encourage the study of art of others artists, I do not encourage imitating. Robert Genn talks often in his newsletters about the need for an artist to find their own unique creative style. This cannot come from imitation of other artists.

The Thought: Enriching your life. What can you do to enrich your life? Sort of one of those questions of "What do you need from me?"... what do you need to enrich your life? I cannot answer this for you, only for myself.

I struggle with issues deep inside just like you do and rarely think about enriching my life. What does that mean? I know through prayer my life is much better. It seems to open up a hope and potential at least. Having the Holy Spirit indwelling give me the comfort of knowing I am cared for 24/7. Through my prayers I know God's presence and peace surrounds me and He is there to guide me.

I don't always see what He has laid in front of me and sometimes I take off the wrong direction, but prayer keeps me centered and immersed in His love. My heart is open to new relationships and experiences. Eventually I find myself back on the right path.

Prayer enriches my life. I pray today that you will take the direction and begin today to enrich your life.

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace Graphics One Design 2013 Horse Collage Fall 2013 12 x 18 inches Mixed Media on Canvas. This was an intentional paint to imitate one of the 100 ponies I did in 2012. That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins. She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.
