I am sitting here eating hot oatmeal with cranberries and raisins and MARSHMALLOWS.
Well it was an after thought and tastes pretty keen with the melted gooey stuff everywhere.

Today is the first Sunday in Advent. Time to light that first candle on the wreath you were going to make. Oh, you forgot to make it. Hummm, well find a candle in the house and light it.
Light this first candle with the prayer of HOPE. Light this candle to remind yourself and your family that our hope is simply Jesus. We must watch for His return and keep the hope alive for others around us. This candle of hope will light the way from the darkness.
Dearest Father, Thank you for the Hope you bring into our lives. As we pray and meditate on your greatness and the gift of hope, may the symbolism of this candle draw us out of the despair we live in, the darkness of this world, and fill us with your light of hope. May we begin to prepare in our hearts for the coming of the Lord. Grant us the understanding and words to share this hope with others. We ask this in the name of the One born in Bethlehem. Amen.
Joy and Abundance,
Laurie
