I was praying and meditating on what to write this morning and I received one of my daily arrivals and knew immediately I would have to jump on this one as it tugged immediately at my heart.
First, I want to thank you for your prayers for Sharon. She traveled on in Spirit to live in the full embrace of the Lord. He added another angel to kingdom. Yesterday was filled with high emotion and continual prayer as the families traveled to reach home to be together in celebration of such a wonderful woman and her life of giving to everyone. She touched so many lives. She just retired from a career teaching school. That alone is worth a thousand stars in the sky.
My younger brother was there with his wife when he phoned to give us the news. He seemed frozen in thought. Unexpected death of a loved one is catastrophic. There is not easy way to deal with happenings like this in life and it is something so raw for us here having lost our grandson Grant less than two years ago. NOT a day goes by with out a prayer of love being lifted up and thanks given to God for allowing us the short time we had with him.
"Your internal world, the reality that you encounter within your mind and emotions, is a world that you and only you control and create." Neale Donald Walsch
I have written before that it is how you view things and how you chose to react to things that can make a difference. Sometimes you have to plant the feeling in your mind to adjust to it. You may not even want to react positively about something so negative it tears apart every reality around you. That is where faith is so important. Cling to the Lord your God. ONLY He can provide the peace that eludes you at this time.
With a death, especially a sudden death, emotions will run from disbelief through anger. Anger often brings on physical problems. Fear and Guilt usually show up somewhere around this time and herald in depression. Who wants to linger anywhere in all of this? You have to grieve and come to terms with loss. The best way is a constant prayer with Him, a healthy diet and exercise. Stay focused and know God is focused on you and He is there, you simply have to open your heart to Him. Cry out to Him, grieve and in the same breath give thanks to Him. God will give you peace as He surrounds you with His love.
Larry experienced many situations of feeling Grant's presence letting Him know that God was at work and all was all right. It was through the death of his son Grant, that my son-in-law Larry found the pure joy of God the Father. Grant's dying gave the gift of "life" to his father. Jesus died for all of us to have life in His Father.
Pray today for those you love and make every moment count. Put aside disagreements and realize how precious your time is here on earth and use it wisely.
Thanks be to God.
Laurie
