DANCE WITH THE MOON
Horse Palette Knife Abstract Painting by Laurie Justus Pace

24 x 24 x 2 Acrylic on Canvas

SOLD THANK YOU!

I am not sure about this one. There is a huge deeply crusted full man in the moon behind the horse. It did not pop through very well on this photo.... and the horse is dancing in the moonlight... I am not sure if I will paint more of not, but if for some reason you are attracted to this, email me and I will sell it at a good price this week. The colors celebrate but are not outspoken and the texture is unbelievable~ trust me on this one as I spent an hour alone carving and creating this huge moon behind the horse that stick out in impasto thickly.

Wish I had more to share this morning. Still sleepy. I slept nine hours straight and I am just starting my day. I am sure your family is beginning to feel the effects of the economy and strain right now. We were careful shopping last night for groceries NOT to buy anything that was a WANT....we stayed with needs and spent about $45-50 less than normal.

Now is the time to discover or rediscover the ever living presence of God in your life. This is a time to know He is here. His presence surrounds us in every moment. Start your spiritual quest today and with your prayer time and quiet time you will gain tremendous peace and understanding of how great His presence truly is surrounding, upholding and flowing through you.

As you grow stronger in your faith, help others along the way with theirs. We are all struggling right now searching for something we cannot identify. We all seek greater abundance, but we seek the wrong greater abundance. God's definition of abundance is quite different than ours. Seek Him out and he will fill you with wholeness, wisdom and strength.

We can all survive in this time that our nation is struggling. Lift each other up and keep focused in your spiritual journey.

Grace,
Laurie

"When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord." Jeremiah 29:13-14.

Mixed Media Collage Horse Paintings by Texas Artist Laurie Justus Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Horse Collage Fall 2013  12 x 18 inches Mixed Media on Canvas.  This was an intentional paint to imitate one of the 100 ponies I did in 2012. That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Website   Thinking ahead to the Thanksgiving celebration next week, I remembered back to those previous dinners that I cooked, served, ate quickly, and cleaned up.  This is how I felt.  It is probably strange...even for me but I had the best fun sketching it out and painting it. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...

Sleeping Cowboy . Ernest Hemingway . Sunday, a day of rest . Western Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

My life has the tendency to fall apart when I'm awake, you know?” Ernest Hemingway  I really enjoyed painting this scene. It was restful to me as the artist  and loved by our friends.  Sunday is the day of rest. I smiled when I found this in archives and thought it perfect for this day.  If you live in Texas you know that we still have 'rules' about not selling liquor before noon.  If you live in Texas and are in your late thirties and up, you might even remember Blue Laws.   Stores were simply NOT open...
