Here it is early Saturday morning (about the time Mom would normally post) and I find myself thinking about the unexpected and how we react to it. I spoke with Mom around 5:30 pm Central time last night and they had gotten lost and then stuck on Hwy 81 (I think) and were scheduled to be somewhere in 30 minutes and they still had an hour and a half to go. Do you get angry, frustrated or just say "God you are in control and there is not one thing that I can do about it". I have learned that I need to embrace all challenges (expected and unexpected) with a positive outlook and know that with everything that happens always give thanks.
I know that Mom always shares a bible verse so I have decided to share mine and Larry's (my husbands) favorite. It has always gotten us through the unexpected, even in our darkest hour.
Blessings - Stacey
1 Thessalonians 5:18 - and for all things give thanks to God, because this is what God expects you to do in Christ Jesus.
