Flowers in My Room
Flower Floral Art Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace

18 x 24 inches
Inquiries: Laurie

It will be a musical day today as I will begin prep this morning on several new musical pieces. Yesterday I finished this one and truly enjoyed painting every bit of it. It is a subdued color palette for me. Refreshingly different.

Once someone ask me how I paint every day...they wanted to know how I come up with so many subjects to paint. Every morning when I wake I cannot wait to paint. I truly dislike all the computer related stuff, but I make myself blog before I get to play. I have learned to take more precautions and I always wear gloves now. Everything else is sheer energy as I soar through the process, music playing and paint flying.

My constant inspiration is the Lord and His creation around me. He makes it easy. From each painting something is learned as I journey through the process. With movement on the canvas building the composition, it stays open to change as my heart and mind stay tuned to the possibilities that are there before me. I chuckle when I think of working on the computer as I am doing graphics for an ad... and I can "go Backwards" "Step Backwards" up to 25 clicks I believe. That doesn't work in life or on my canvas. I encourage students when they are giving up on a piece, NOT TO. There is something there, step away, meditate and return to work. Every time an unbelievable piece of art emerges.

Our lives are like this too. If we allow divine order to process and move through us, all our experiences in life are leading to the next lesson. We have to learn to trust the Spirit within. We must have courage to make decisions and act on them with confidence.

Grace,
Laurie

this is beautifel, Laurie! It shows your other "true colors", I think...
Not always are life's colors loud, vivacious, and "in your face" - from what I know about your current life, these colors fit better for right now, so I'm not surprised at seeing them - they seem to just express a wish from your heart for some calm, serene, peaceful, and pretty times. Keep painting - those times are headed your way!

Give "Mom" my love - hope she's feeling MUCH better.
Tell the b'day gang a happy belated birthday from me, and give Tink a pat on the belly for me.

Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
