A very quick blog as we tend to last minute things around the house. I will try and take pictures as we finish up. Terry has the gate done in the backyard. He and Morgan will move the boat this morning so it is not sitting in the middle of the back yard. The extra boat pieces will be stored next to the side of the house. He has the horrible itch to get a second boat trailer for the second boat but I suggested a storage area when he said that. He then said, I have a back yard, and I said...you need lawyer first. I do not think I am over sensitive to TWO huge sailboats taking over the entire backyard.
I am on a mission to find out more about Alzheimer Trained Dogs. I now know they exist. I found the first one was trained in Israel. There are a few here in the states, but not many. This is a void that must be filled. With the growing number of Alzheimer's patients in the US, it is a screaming need. These dogs are trained to be a 24 hour companions for that patient. They stay velcroed to the patient and alert the household if the patient opens the door to leave the house. They stay with the patient at all times everywhere even out at the store or the movies. If the patient would happen to get out, the dog is trained to find the patient by scent. If you think about it, the bond between the Alzheimer's Patient and the dog would be solid. The therapy part is unbelievable and then you add in the safety issues with a well trained dog. So if you know of anything please email me! The link is above by the painting.
Go with God today. Enjoy the day and the gifts He has given to you so freely. Realize as always the stress that you have you brought into your life, He did not. Let Go and Let God today. Let God be your guide, your full time 24 hour companion. Let God take over your worries, troubles and concerns. Listen for His "bark" to signal danger and let Him be your guide. You will be blessed by your listening.
Grace,
Laurie
