Had to post before I started working. I have a 12 ft canvas on my easel. TWELVE FEET. I will take pictures today. Other than an errand with my mom mid morning I will literally be painting on this one all day with FAST DRY impasto added to the oils. This has to hang this weekend in a home. I love God's sense of humor. Meanwhile please keep me on prayer today.... as I take this on. I am pretty calm at the moment pulling in the spirit and the power of the Lord. He has to be heavy in hand as I take on this project.

Believe you can be successful in what you do today too! God gives us the gifts and the desire to go forth. It is His spiritual vision that guides us toward our greater goal. With Him you can be successful in all endeavors.

The above painting is for the same client. I will be doing several over the next five days.

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
