This morning I had an email from a young mother of two autistic children. Many of you know my eldest grandson died a year ago in February and he was gifted with autism. His gift taught all of us so much about life. His short time here on earth made his journey into our hearts even more important. You never know how much time you have with those you love...call someone today and let them know you care!
MEANWHILE.... I am so good at sidetracking, back to the email. The mom seemed a bit down with all that was on her plate. She was pulled to my work through Color. I have told you many times in my blog, color is an addiction problem for me. She used those same words and I knew she was a sister of my heART. For her and for many of you that want to dapple in art but cannot seem to take that first step I am adding to my plate with my new blog: http://artlessonblog.blogspot.com/
I commit to posting at least ONE new lesson a week. Do not know if I have time to do more than one because of the rush of summer shows and commission work I have committed to. I will always let you know on this blog if I have posted a new lesson. These will be CHILD friendly. SO if you are homeschooling, please use what I post on that blog! Our journey in this world is to help each other. God is good.
With this weekend celebrating Mother's Day I want to step out there and give thanks to all those that are caregivers. You may not be a female, or a mother, but if you are a caregiver, today is the day I want to celebrate your gift of giving to others. Often you provide for them before caring for your own needs. Most folks that need caregivers are no different than an infant child that can do nothing for itself. May God strengthen you in your day and give you moments to stop and see His mighty gifts surrounding you and supporting you. You are the guardian to all those you care for and God is your guardian. He will provide what you need today and every day as you care for others.
Grace,
Laurie
